Supplies & Personal Belongings

To help children have a comfortable, safe, and successful experience at Country Lane Early Learning, please ensure your child arrives prepared each day with appropriate clothing, supplies, and personal items.

Clothing & Daily Supplies

• Children participate in a variety of hands-on activities each day including art, sensory play, outdoor exploration, water activities, and active play.

• Please dress your child in comfortable, washable clothing suitable for active play and occasional messes.

• Protective aprons are provided during art and water activities whenever appropriate.

• Each child must keep a complete extra set of clothing at childcare at all times.

• Extra clothing should include underwear, socks, pants, and a shirt.

• All extra clothing should be clearly labeled with your child's name and stored in a labeled plastic bag.

• If soiled or wet clothing is sent home, please return a clean replacement set the following day.

Outdoor Play & Weather-Appropriate Clothing

• Outdoor play is an important part of our daily program and is required by childcare licensing guidelines whenever weather conditions safely allow.

• Children will play outdoors when weather conditions are appropriate, including temperatures of 20°F or higher.

• Families are responsible for sending weather-appropriate outerwear each day.

• Recommended seasonal items may include jackets, hats, mittens, scarves, rain boots, snow boots, sweatshirts, or extra layers.

• All coats, shoes, boots, and outerwear should be clearly labeled with your child's name.

Items Provided by the Childcare Program

• Country Lane Early Learning provides meals, snacks, bibs, bottles, bedding, toys, furniture, and classroom supplies.

• Diapers and wipes are also provided for children up to 2½ years old.

• Families will be notified if additional personal supplies are needed for their child.

Personal Belongings & Toys from Home

• We understand that children may occasionally want to bring comfort items or special treasures from home.

• While we do our best to help children care for their belongings, personal items brought from home remain the responsibility of the family.

• Country Lane Early Learning is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misplaced personal belongings.

• Whenever possible, toys and valuables should remain at home to help avoid conflicts, distractions, or accidental damage.

• Special comfort items such as blankets or stuffed animals may be brought for rest time if needed.

• Rest-time comfort items will be put away after nap/rest time concludes.

• Families are encouraged not to send valuable or irreplaceable items to childcare.

Items Not Permitted at Childcare

• Toy guns or weapons

• Gum

• Money

• Candy or excessive treats from home
