Accommodations, inclusion, and working with outside providers

At Country Lane Early Learning, we are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. We recognize that children develop at different rates and may require individualized support to help them reach their full potential. Country Lane Early Learning does not discriminate against children on the basis of disability and will consider reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Developmental Screening & Assessment

To help support healthy development and identify any areas where additional support may be beneficial, families participate in developmental screenings and ongoing observations.

Families may be asked to complete an Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3) during enrollment and at various times throughout care. The ASQ-3 screens five areas of development: communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving, and personal-social skills.
Developmental observations and assessments help identify strengths, developmental progress, and any areas where additional support may be helpful.
The earlier developmental concerns are identified, the greater the opportunity for early support and intervention.
Developmental screenings are intended to support children and families and are not used to label or diagnose children.

Partnership with Families

Families are valued partners in supporting their child's development.
Parent/provider conferences may be held throughout the year to review developmental progress, discuss observations, and establish individualized goals.
Open communication between families and caregivers helps ensure consistency and support for each child's individual needs.
Families are encouraged to share concerns, goals, therapies, evaluations, or recommendations that may help support their child successfully within the childcare environment.

Individualized Support Plans

If developmental concerns arise, a supportive plan may be developed to help meet the individual needs of the child.
Support strategies are designed to encourage growth, confidence, independence, emotional well-being, and success within the childcare environment.
Every child is treated with patience, dignity, understanding, and respect.
Reasonable accommodations and supportive strategies will be considered whenever possible while maintaining the safety and well-being of all children in care.

Collaboration with Outside Resources

Country Lane Early Learning may work collaboratively with families, early intervention programs (such as Utah's Baby Watch Early Intervention program), therapists, healthcare providers, school districts, and special education departments when appropriate.
Our goal is to advocate for and support each child's developmental, emotional, social, and educational needs.
Collaboration between families and professionals helps create the strongest support system for children.

Inclusive Environment

We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all children feel safe, valued, respected, and supported.
Children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, positive relationships, and a love for learning at their own pace.
Our program focuses on helping children build social-emotional skills, self-confidence, communication skills, and positive peer interactions in a nurturing environment.
